Meet Balarama
The Heart and Soul behind
Pios Phantom
Balarama, the German born lyricist and songwriter founded his music project PIOS PHANTOM in 2021. He has explored both the physical world and a seemingly endless sea of musical genres, emerging with tracks that are hypnotic, uplifting, and full of revelations. Â
Having spent years honing his craft, he is now emerging with some of the most meaningful tracks of his career. He carries on the traditions of love and peace that were born at Woodstock 1969. He has written a divine rock opera inspired by the heavenly mantra entrusted to him by his Yoga guru. Â
On his latest tracks, Balarama has been experimenting with innovative electronic sounds. The songs take inspiration from vintage pop, rock, and soul, while using modern recording techniques to capture the energy of the performers brilliantly. These songs come from humble origins, but they are beginning to capture the imagination of listeners around the world.
Balarama wrote the lyrics to the songs. The songs were made by musicians, singers and producers from places all over the world, England, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Finland, USA, Mexico, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand to name a few.Â
Some song stories are related to the country of the producer, e.g. LOVE JAPAN was made in Japan, THE ORACLE OF DELPHI in Greece and APARTHEID in Nigeria.
To illustrate that diversity, Balarama created characters to form a cartoon band, that imaginary played on the songs.
The raw shape of the characters were mainly extracted from a road map from Balarama's home in Siegbach, Hesse, Germany.
To make ends meet, the name PIOS PHANTOM has been taken from
OM (amo = italian love)
POP (thai = meet)
SHANTI (sanskrit india = peace);
by reordering the letters.
That has given the project the subtitle
LOVE PEACE MUSIC.
The goal is to connect people from all over the world by our music to build a peaceful community of love and respect.
When will you join 🤷
PRImus1k
The name primus1K has been adapted from the expression
Pop Rock Indie MUSIK.
The three colored rings symbol was used during the MOD movement, taken place in the mid sixties in London, England.
Blue, White and Red are the colors of the United Kingdom. They represent patriotism, but have a deeper meaning. MOD(ern) music is a mixture of Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Pop and rock. Mods wore suits and parkas and drove scooters. They were hated by the rockers.
Balarama was a long time record collector of sixties BEAT, GARAGE PUNK music, that reflects in many of his songs, having this vintage mod vibe.
